# Introduction

The earth is characterized by the ability to support life, animal and plant life. However, human beings, being the most dominant, have seemed to overlook the importance of other species. Each animal or plant species has a role in the ecosystem. Regardless of this fact, human activities have threatened to exterminate some forms of life, which poses a real risk to the stability of various ecosystems.

Going by the current trends, marine life is facing a lot of dangers that might affect the whole marine ecosystem. Due to this, authorities and organizations worldwide have spearheaded campaigns to protect the highly delicate marine life. OceanCare (oceancare.org) is one of the organizations concerned about aquatic life, taking the lead in safeguarding marine animals and species and their habitats.

TheMetaWhales is inspired by the outstanding work OceanCare is doing towards ensuring that marine animals and species are cared for, as well as conserving oceans, whose contribution to the continuity of human life and the general health of our planet cannot be disputed. Through the launch of our token, we are dedicated to the course of OceanCare, because we believe that all lives matter, and as human beings, we should be protecting other forms of life instead of destroying them. The wellness of our oceans and marine animals means our own wellness as human beings too. Our community stands to gain from holding our tokens while also taking part in restoring our oceans and safeguarding marine life and ecosystems. TheMetaWhales focuses explicitly on whales, as per the mission and objectives of OceanCare.
